World's Strongest Man 2006
I have known some very strong guys. However, John is one of those super rare guys who is not simply among the strongest in the world but, is truly head and shoulders above the rest of us... When it comes to developing strength, John smashes through all barriers. He knows no boundaries... John Brookfield is a great hero, inspiration and friend to me and many of my other superstrong friends.

John has achieved these feats of endurance. At 47 years-old, many of John's weekly workouts are as difficult or often more difficult than these:
  • 1200 kettlebell snatches in one hour with a 24kg kettlebell
  • 302 kettlebell snatches with a 24kg kettlebell in the ten minute snatch test
  • 198 kettlebell snatches with a 32kg kettlebell in ten minutes
  • Striking a 23kg hammer into a tyre for one hour nonstop (striking pace was 27 to 30 times per minute)

John is also the founder of the Battling Ropes system. This system enables the user to sustain power and strength of longer durations because it trains and forces the body and mind to use pure velocity. John's DVD Power Ropes introduces the battling ropes system.
